Is there an SAP Analytics Cloud mobile app?

You bet. The SAP Analytics Cloud Mobile App is available for iOS devices. You can download it for free from the app store.

Is it easy to collaborate using SAP Analytics Cloud?

SAP Analytics Cloud streamlines communication with in-app collaboration features.  You can assign tasks and deadlines, start chats, and make comments all within the application.

Can I share stories outside of my organization?

No, but this is for your own protection.

Stories can only be shared with users on the same Analytics Cloud system, and cannot be accessed without logging in. This is to protect your information from getting into the wrong hands.

Is SAP Analytics Cloud available in different languages?

You can change your language preferences in your profile to update SAP Analytics Cloud to one of the available translations.

As of November 2017, SAP Analytics Cloud is available in 15 languages:

How do I sign up for a free trial?

Easy, by clicking a link like this one: sign up now to try SAP Analytics Cloud for free.

All you need to sign up is your business email address. We ask that you use your official business email address to make things simpler if you choose to upgrade from your trial to a Business Plan.

Why do I have to sign up with my business email?

Signing up from the get-go with your business email will make things simpler if you choose to upgrade from a free trial to a Business Plan.

The email you signed up with originally will be the one associated with your admin account after you upgrade.

What data sources can I use during my 30-day trial?

Your trial account can access data from local file imports (.csv, .xlsx) or from Google Drive.

Enterprise-level data connections are only available to Business or Enterprise plan holders. For more information about data sources, read our page on connecting to data.

How do I upgrade from a free trial to a Business Plan?

Simply log in to your trial account and click Buy Now in the toolbar. Before you checkout, you can add as many as 20 users to your system.

If you’d like to add more than 20 users to your system please contact us.

What happens to my data when the trial expires?

Once your trial expires, you’ll have 7 days to upgrade your account to a Business Plan. Upgrading will save all of the work you have completed during the 30-day trial.

If you do not upgrade within 7 days of your trial expiring, your account will be deleted.

Your Account, Signing Up, and Logging in

How do I sign up for an account?

You can start by signing up for our 30-day trial. Or, sign up for a Business Plan for more data source connections, the ability to add more users, and in-app collaboration features. Business Plan subscriptions start at just $21 USD per user per month.

What happens after I sign up?

You should receive your activation email within a few minutes of signing up. Follow the instructions in the email to get started with your account.

If you don’t see the email in your inbox, please check your junk folder.

Still nothing? Try signing up again, or visit the login page and click the Forgot Password link.

I signed up for an account, but I didn't receive an email. Now what?

Well that’s no good. First, check your junk mail just to make sure that our email didn’t get misplaced. If you don’t see anything from us, visit the login page and click the Forgot Password link.

Still having trouble? It might be time to contact support. 

Can I change the email address associated with my account?

If you’re on a 30-day trial you won’t be able to update the email associated with your account until you upgrade to a Business Plan.

If you’re already on a Business Plan, your System Administrator can update your email address for you.

How do I log in to SAP Analytics Cloud?

It’s easy! To log in, visit and click the log in button from the top menu.

Connecting to Data

What types of data sources can I connect to?

SAP Analytics Cloud can connects to various on-premise and cloud data sources including SAP HANA, SAP BW, SAP BPC, OData, Google BigQuery, SQL, SAP Universes and more. Check out our connecting to data page for more information and help on setting up your connections.

Trial users can work with data by importing local files (.csv, .xlsx) or by connecting to Google Drive.

Are there any limits to the amount of data I can work with?

As of November 2017, Import Data Connections are limited to 100 columns and 800,000 rows of data. For more information see System Requirements and Technical Prerequisites.

Account Administration

As a System Administrator, can I track the usage of my Analytics Cloud System?

Yes. Using the System Monitor, Administrators can track overall system information and usage information for individual users.

Can I set different permission levels for system users?

Yes. Admins are able to specify Model Security and Dimension Security to restrict data access.

How do I add more team members to my SAP Analytics Cloud System?

What do I need to run SAP Analytics Cloud?

The basic requirements are an internet connection and web browser; for best results, use Google Chrome.

What web browser should I use? Can I use Internet Explorer?

For the best experience, use Google Chrome as your browser. Features are limited for other browsers including Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Safari.

Where is SAP Analytics Cloud hosted? How do I know my data is secure?

Can I host SAP Analytics Cloud on a private server?

SAP Analytics Cloud is hosted on the public cloud. Enterprise Plan holders have the option of hosting the software on a private cloud. If you’re interested in an Enterprise Plan, please get in touch with us.

Where can I find the Service Level Agreement (SLA) for SAP Analytics Cloud?

SAP Analytics Cloud is included in this Service Level Agreement for SAP Cloud Services.

How do I contact support?

Business Plan and Enterprise Plan holders can connect with SAP support through the SAP Support Portal. To sign in, you’ll need your S-user login information.

What is an S-user ID and how do I get one?

An S-user ID is a unique identifier that can bu used to login to SAP products, submit support tickets, download software, configure connections, and more. However, not all SAP Analytics Cloud users will need an S-user ID.

For System Admins, if Analytics Cloud is your first SAP Product purchase, you’ll receive a welcome email with your S-user ID. If you did not receive a number, or cannot find the email contact SAP Support.

For all other users, if you require an S-user ID for any reason, you should contact your organization’s Super Administrator.
